Opera singer

German soprano Mariella Baier discovered her passion for singing during her studies to be a teacher. After her graduation she therefore decided to devote herself entirely to her voice and studied singing at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. She then had the opportunity to take lessons and coachings with famous singers such as Kammersängerin Grace Bumbry, or well-known accompanist Carrie-Ann Matheson and Jonathan Kelly from the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, Inge Spinette from La Monnaie, Brussels, or Klaus Sallmann from Staatsoper Berlin.

Her repertoire includes roles like Agathe (Der Freischütz),  Ariadne (Ariadne auf Naxos), Amelia (Un Ballo in Maschera), Leonora (Il Trovatore), Cio Cio San (Madama Butterfly), Elettra (Idomeneo) or Sieglinde (Die Walküre). Concerts and opera productions Brough her to Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain and the USA.

The classical song repertoire is also important to the soprano, which is why she took part in master classes with specialists in their field, such as Udo Reinemann, Helmut Deutsch, Maciej Pikulski or Mitsuko Shirai. She can be heard regularly in recitals.
